HGH Infrared Systems announces the launch of the new INFRATEST Software: a revolution for the electro-optics industry.

-Press Release-

February 5th 2019, Igny, France – HGH Infrared Systems is glad to announce the launch of the brand new INFRATEST software,  that will revolutionize the testing of visible and infrared cameras. The novel electro-optical software includes unparalleled features, offering a wide range of new parameters for a full characterization of camera performances.

HGH Infrared Systems designs and provides IR test equipment to universities, research labs, camera manufacturers and test centers around the world. The new INFRATEST software allows for the test of visible, NIR and IR cameras, ICCDs, goggles and laser rangefinders, with an unprecedented accuracy.

Wide field-of-view camera parameters such as distortion can be accurately measured with a mirror-based collimator, for instance. This innovation also allows to measure resolution and ranges at the edge of FOV. Other unparalleled features on the market; the remote monitoring of the temperature of  blackbodies' cooling fluid is possible, and INFRATEST now automatically takes into account the background temperature data, simulated by a secondary background blackbody, into the calculations of key functions such as MRTD.

Catherine Barrat, Head of Test & Measurement at HGH Infrared Systems, said: As a market leader in visible and infrared camera testing, we make continual improvements in our testing products to reflect the gains made in imaging abilities of the available cameras in any spectrum. HGH Infrared Systems is a unique manufacturer of visible and infrared sources, collimators, targets and test software to provide a total solution to the Imaging community, and this year we are bringing exciting new capabilities.”

To mark this historical launch, HGH Infrared Systems and their American subsidiary Electro Optical Industries are exhibiting this week at SPIE Photonics West, San Francisco BOOTH 4631. A series of new features for the test of visible and infrared cameras will also be revealed on February 7th, during a Live demo given by EOI’s General Manager Stephen Scopatz, Hall ABC South, 1:30PM.
